Turkish style stuffed peppers with garlic yogurt

These are served cold with garlic yogurt
the sweet and salty taste is just too good
onion 1, chopped finely
rice 1 cup cooked ,i used wild rice
salt and pepper 1 tsp each sugar 1 tsp
Raisins 1/2 cup ( i used mixed of dark and sultana raisins)
Juice of 1 lemon
Olive oil 4 tbsp
tomato 1 chopped
ground cinnamon 1 tsp
ground allspice ½ tsp
mint 1/2 cup chopped
dill 1/4 cup chopped
parsley 1/2 cup chopped
red bell peppers 4
For serving:
Greek yogurt 1 cup mixed with 1 crushed garlic clove
fry the onion in 2 tablespoons of the oil till soft. Add salt, pepper and sugar, cooked rice stir a bit and add raisins, the tomato, cinnamon ,allspice, mint, dill and parsley and fry a minute or so
Add lemon juice and 1tbsp oil
Cut off the top of peppers to use as cap later
Remove the seeds and fill the peppers with the rice and raisins Put on the caps.
Place the peppers in a baking dish, pour 1/4 cup water into the bottom, and bake in an oven for 45-55 minutes at 375F until the peppers are tender and cooked through
Let cool
Serve cold with the garlic yogurt
