Spicy salami pasta with tomato sauce

Quick easy weeknight dinner

Was in-fact made by my son

I just gave him the recipe ,and I felt quite good when he said mama we didnt have onion so i used onion powder and spring onions instead šŸ‘šŸ½


  • 2 cups pasta

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 onion or spring onionšŸ˜Š

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • salami slice or dice it 1/2-3/4 cups

  • 1 can full or diced tomato

  • fresh thyme and cilantro few sprigs

  • salt to taste

  • fresh-ground black pepper 1/2 tsp

  • ground chili flakes, 1/2 tsp

  • grated Parmesan cheese to taste

  • Boil pasta according to package directions and save half cup pasta water before draining

  • Add 1 tbs olive oil in a pan. Add sliced onion and fry until translucent. Add garlic and salami stir-fry for a minute add canned tomatoes and thyme and bring to a boil ,add the spices and salt Bring to a boil and let it cook on low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring as needed When the sauce is thickened, it is ready. Add cilantro

Add the pasta to the pan with the sauce and add some of the pasta water. Mix well and serve with fresh Parmesan cheese and more cilantro on top
