Soft pretzels

These are just perfect little buddies for your tea or coffee
Ingredients
1 and 1/2 cups warm milk
31/2 cups all purpose or bread flour
21/4 tsp instant yeast
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp brown sugar or
1 Tbsp melted butter
for topping
sea salt
1/2 cup melted butter
Mix 1/2 cup white or brown sugar with 3 tbsp cinnamon
For boiling
. 4-5 tbsp baking soda and a huge pot of boiling water😂
Mix milk and yeast (not too hot or you’ll be a yeast killer) let sit 1-3 minutes
Mix all other dough ingredients and add milk mix ,knead by hand or mixer 3-5 minutes adding extra flour and milk if needed till dough not sticky,put in oiled pan ,cover and let rise 1 hour
Divide in 12 equal parts
Put the pot on to boil water
And turn oven to 400F
Line your baking sheet with parchment paper
Roll into long sticks like 18-20 inch or longer
Then twist the ends and flip over the ends and press a little (see video)
Once water boils add baking soda to it
Boil each pretzel 10-15 seconds only and remove with slotted spoon onto your baking sheet
Brush melted butter on tops and sprinkle coarse salt on the ones you want salty
My kids wanted cinnamon ones so I left some plain with just butter
Now bake 12-15 minutes till nice color
Remove and brush little more butter on salted ones
Brush lot of butter on plain ones and pick up one by one and dip top into cinnamon sugar mix
Enjoy them warm or cold
Mine literally lasted <20 minutes
