Home made buns

These are really easy and good , the only thing is dough is slow to rise so may take 4-5 hours total time

  • 31/3 cup all purpose flour

  • 21/4 tsp yeast

  • 3/4 cup warm water

  • 1/4 cup warm milk

  • 1 egg

  • 1tsp salt

  • 21/2 tbsp butter

  • 21/2tbsp sugar

  • For egg wash at end beat the egg with 1tsp water

If kneading by hand add butter and flour and mix with hands first and beat the egg first lightly before adding to flour and just add everything and knead, it is sticky add little bits dry flour if needed but don’t add too much

I just added everything in hand mixer and used the dough hook till all mixed

Cover and let rise at room temperature, till doubled in size,this may take 2-3 hours

Once it rises divide into 8 rolls and shape into balls

Put on baking sheet leaving 2-3 inches space between them

Cover and let rise again ,again this can take 1-2 hours

Once risen brush the tops with egg wash

Preheat oven to 400F and put a small pan with water on lower shelf to keep moisture while baking

Put the baking sheet with rolls in oven till tops are golden brown may take 12-15 minutes

Cool before slicing
