Grilled pear salad
So this was last minute addition of side dish to the grilled chicken today as i saw three pears starting to look quite sad in the fruit bowl
3 pears cut into quarters
Half onion chopped in long slices
Mint leaves2tbsp
Fresh thyme leaves 2tsp
Feta cheese crumbled 2tbsp
Olive oil 1.5tbsp
Maple syrup 1tsp
Salt and pepper to taste
Toss the pears with olive oil, and put them on hot grill or pan ,wait till little charred and then switch side,dont move too much
Remove and put in serving dish
Roast onion in oven at 400for 8-10 minutes or grill that too till little charred
Put in same dish as pears
Add mint and thyme leaves
Dash of salt and pepper
Drizzle bit of remaining olive oil and maple syrup on top and add crumbled feta at end
Im sure u can add other flavours like balsamic or lemon and sub with other herbs or add lettuce or greens too
I just used whatever i had handy and this was really really good
Roasted Brussel sprouts
This is one of my fav easiest side dishes
2cups Brussel sprouts halved
1/2tsp salt and black pepper
1/4-1/2 tsp chilli flakes
11/2tbsp olive oil
1tbsp maple syrup
2-3tbsp balsamic vinegar
4tbsp mayonnaise
Pomegranate for garnishing-optional
Toss the Brussel sprouts with olive oil salt pepper and chilli flakes
Roast at 400 for 8-12 minutes till slightly charred
In a pan on stove add maple syrup and balsamic and add Brussel sprouts cook on high for 1-2 minutes till sauce thickens
In the serving plate spread mayonnaise and add the warm Brussel sprouts with the sauce
Add pomegranate if u wish
This is sooooo delicious
My kids May disagree 😒but this is the only way they atleast try the Brussel sprouts
