Cherry clafoutis

So yummy and the easiest dessert or breakfast,so this is a bit more custardy texture than Dutch baby which is more pancake like

The hardest part is pitting those darn cherries 😬i tried the bottle hack i saw on internet let me just tell u it made me swear a couple of times 😒

I should just buy a cherry pitter!

It can be made with any berries ,ill be trying blackberries next 😊no pitting needed or plums and apricot or apples

  • 11/2-2cups cherries,pitted😬or use any other fruit l

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • 1/4-1/2 cup sugar to ur taste

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1tsp vanilla extract

  • 3eggs

  • 1cup milk

  • 1tbsp butter melted

  • Confectioners sugar to dust at end

  • Preheat oven to 350F

  • Put on 1tbsp melted butter in ur pan i used cast iron but can be made in baking dish

  • Add 3/4 cup batter in pan and bake for 8 minutes

  • Then put the rest of the batter after 8 minutes and put ur cherries or berries or whatever u are using on it and put back in oven

  • Depending on oven it may take 20-40 minutes

  • If u use cast iron pan it takes less time ,mine took 25 minutes

  • Custard should be set but not too hard or brown too much

  • U can dust the confectioners sugar or skip !
