Cardamom,cinnamon and pear loaf cake

Perfect loaf cake for fall season with the mix of spice and sweet to enjoy with your tea or coffee in this beautiful weather

I was sharing with friends so make a bit larger loaf , you can half the quantities if only for 4-5 people

I didn’t really get any good pictures today but the cake was amazing!!

At the end I have added the glaze that I used


  • 4 Eggs

  • 1 1/3 cup Brown Sugar

  • 4 tsp Baking Powder

  • 21/2 Cups All Purpose Flour

  • 1/2 Unsalted Butter, melted

  • 3/4 Cup milk, I used almond milk

  • 2 tsp Cardamom Powder

  • 21/2 tsp Cinnamon powder

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 2-3 pears sliced(sprinkle bit of cinnamon,nutmeg,brown sugar and cardamom on them and let sit till ready to use)

  • Preheat oven to 350 F

  • Grease your pan

  • , melt the butter and add milk, set aside.

  • Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and spices in a separate bowl and whisk together.

  • Separately in a bowl beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is thick I used stand mixer

  • Now add the flour mix,gently fold with spatula and then mix the milk mix

  • gently mix all ingredients

  • Put in your loaf pan

  • Add sliced pears as you like

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean

  • Optional is the glaze

  • 2tbsp cream or mascarapone cheese

  • 1tbsp icing sugar

  • 2tsp cream or milk and just mix all

  • When cake is cooled add this and sprinkle some more cinnamon and nutmeg on too
